The Santoku was created based on the classically popular Nakiri knife, but with an added degree of versatility. Based around the height and mostly flat cutting edge of the Nakiri, the Santoku adds a ‘Sheep’s Foot’ tip which curves downward and gives you more function beyond just vegetables.
